Ofsted Report Oct 2018
Sober reading, but improvements are already well underway.
16th November 2018
As anticipated, the report details serious inadequacies in leadership, quality of teaching and safeguarding. It also lists a comprehensive set of actions, many of which were implemented immediately.
Whilst the report makes very sober reading, please be reassured that in the five weeks since the inspection and the start of a period of special measures, the improvements are already well underway.
With the support of our new Academy Management Committee (AMC), headed by Chairman Paul Jones, Moira Marder, Chief Executive of the Ted Wragg Trust and educational consultants from Babcock LDP, the new leadership team are wholly committed to this school achieving an excellence in Steiner Waldorf education whilst meeting the requirements of Ofsted and the Department for Education.
The problems highlighted in the Ofsted report can only be addressed by a robust programme of improvements and a clear goal for achieving excellence in a new era of state funded Steiner education.
I would like to take this opportunity to reassure parents and the local community of our commitment to children's education and wellbeing and to thank you for your continued support.
